Meet Dr. Mickey E. Frame
A Life-Changing Experience
At 9 years old, I witnessed something remarkable that would shape my future. My father hurt his lower back so severely that he couldn’t walk and faced surgery with only a 50/50 chance of walking again. After reluctantly visiting a chiropractor—”the witch doctor”—he returned home that same day able to stand. Six weeks later, he was back at work, and some 50-plus years later, he still had not had surgery.
My own severe asthma kept me from sports and caused me to miss 40-50 school days yearly. When the chiropractor noticed my scoliosis during my father’s visit, he suggested treatment. Starting care at age 10 changed everything—my school absences stopped, and I haven’t had a major asthma attack since. These experiences led me to become a chiropractor.EXPLORE OUR SERVICES
A Commitment to Education and Professionalism
With a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from the University of Toledo and a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College (1988), I’ve expanded my qualifications to include Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician®, acupuncture licensing, and advanced training in several other specialties.
At my practice, patients can access rehabilitation, WAVE vibration therapy, spinal decompression, carpal tunnel treatment, physiotherapy, ultrasound, cold laser treatments, and more. I welcome patients of all ages, including families, accident victims, athletes, and workers’ compensation cases.
Adding Acupuncture to My Practice
After experiencing acupuncture’s benefits during my recovery from a motorcycle accident in 1999, I completed over 300 hours of training and became licensed in 2010. The combination of acupuncture and chiropractic offers more options for addressing various patient concerns, especially conditions like smoking cessation and sleep issues.
Professional Level Care
I currently serve as the official chiropractor for the Toledo Mud Hens and the Toledo Walleye hockey team. My leadership roles include Vice President of the Ohio State Chiropractic Board of Examiners and past president of state and local chiropractic associations. In 2018, I was named Chiropractor of the Year by the Ohio State Chiropractic Association.
Life Away From the Practice
When I’m not caring for patients, I enjoy time with my family—my wife Michelle (a teacher of 35 years), our four children, and two grandchildren. A special moment came when my son Zachary joined our practice as a chiropractor in 2023. Looking ahead, my bucket list includes more travel to experience different countries and cultures.
