According to Chinese Medicine, energy in our bodies flow through channels called meridians. This energy called Qi, pronounced as “chee”, can get blocked and out of balance, leading to illness. These blockages can be caused by external factors (such as cold, damp weather, physical trauma, etc.) or internal factors (such as stress, unhealthy diets, etc.). The very fine acupuncture needles placed on identified points, assist to unblock the Qi and bring us back to balance. There is no western medical explanation for Qi; however, there is over 5,000 years of empirical evidence proving the effectiveness of acupuncture.

“I became interested in acupuncture as I had positive results with treatment for my ankle injuries I suffered in my motorcycle accident and choose to begin to study this treatment modality. After over 300 hours of training as well as passing national board examination I became licensed in April of 2010 in Acupuncture. Chiropractic and Acupuncture in my opinion go hand in hand when it comes to treating various patient complaints. Acupuncture also offers treatment options that my not be considered a chiropractic patient ie: smoking cessation, sleep deprivation (insomnia).” – Dr. Mickey E. Frame
Dr. Frame received his training from the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture. His focus was on the traditional Chinese method of acupuncture.
